Words of the day: mentality. color. scrape. discipline. galloping.

On the audio player below is a 5 minute collection of snippets and outtakes from my interview conversation with Boston based painter Brigid Watson. You'll find short accounts on Brigid's pacing during her painting process and how she handles the "best part of the painting" when that occurs prematurely, so to speak. Listen in for more...

The Mixed Media Tapes | an update!

The mixed-media tapes is an off-shoot of ahtcast. It is a collection of short artist talks and conversations detailing art related topics, such as titling paintings, free-association in art, thoughts on various mediums etc. I started these audio recordings with artists about 2 years ago. Long story short, there is new life in the project! The mixed-media tapes are now being individually uploaded to YouTube. There are four uploaded so far, thirteen more to look forward to down the line.

Just below is one of the recordings. Painter Marc Cheetham talks with me about titling his work.

Please head on over to the ahtcast YouTube channel for more of the series here: ahtcast on YouTube

Thanks for listening, and please stay tuned for more.
