Don't grieve.
Anything you lose comes round in another form.
The child weaned from mother's milk now drinks wine and honey mixed.
God's joy moves from unmarked box to unmarked box, from cell to cell.
As rainwater, down into flowerbed.
As roses, up from ground.
Now it looks like a plate of rice and fish, now a cliff covered with vines, now a horse being saddled. It hides within these, till one day it cracks them open.

ReplyDeleteAnd I'm impressed with the lack of pretensions in these conversations; that nasty little attribute that supposedly hovers around "the world of art", and how you instead focus on casual talk with the artist, and the work of course.
I was also intrigued with your painting(s), because they connect to some of the abstract work being made here in Cleveland, Ohio, and from what I've gathered you're based out of Mass.?? Perhaps we do have hive-mind tendencies, after all.
